Yes, Ireland… The country that sat out World War II, is now getting involved which tells me that Russia is truly buggered.
With Donald Trump’s wavering support for Ukraine, European nations are stepping up their contributions to Kyiv’s defense. Both Sweden and Ireland have announced the transfer of advanced air defense systems.
It’s worth mentioning that at the same time, Sweden has committed 1.2 billion kronor ($113 million) in air defense systems for Ukraine, including the RBS 70 NG and Tridon Mk2. The RBS 70 NG is a portable, laser-guided missile system with a range of 9 kilometers, capable of engaging drones, helicopters, and low-flying aircraft.
The Tridon Mk2, a mobile air-defense system based on the Bofors 40mm gun, has an effective range of 12 kilometers and enhances Ukraine’s ability to counter aerial threats.
