Hi Wes. I know it's silly to use a comment box but I wanted to thank you for your service to our country and your amazing, in depth, through and impassioned research and writing. Happy to be a supporter and am appreciative for your work and the followers who at so much to this digital flow. Happy Independence Day!
Thanks maclifer, that means a lot to me. The truth is, I'm doing my dream job where I can walk into my home office in the morning and write and make videos, and people read and watch. I still can't believe that I get to do this for money.
As for Ukraine, I'm in it until they win it. Actually, I have an invite to go over to Ukraine in the near future, but I probably won't publicize it or talk about it until I get back.
Good catch, and I think you’re right. Looking at the image again, I likely had the light/dark aircraft reversed in the caption. The two lighter aircraft near the center look more consistent with Su-24M/MR Fencers, while the darker aircraft on the right have more of the broader Flanker-family planform. I’ve updated the wording. Thanks for the extra set of eyes.

It's much easier and cheaper to blow up a plane on the ground than in the air.
Are Flankers and Fencers mixed up in the photo caption?
