First off, this will go down in history as a major intelligence coup and military strike. Secondly, this totally changes warfare with a big, black underline.
Thank you, Wes. Great explanatory video! Your delivery is excellent. I suggest you wait a day or two and then load your video(s) onto YouTube, a great way to make some $$.
The four-airport attack deep inside Russia is truly a Pearl Harbor-level event and will be studied for many, many years.
Slava Ukraini. Heroyim Slava. And your addition of "Crimea Is Ukraine" is much appreciated.
Great summary! The breadth of Ukranian innovation under such difficult circumstances is simply inspirational. Not only their, unwavering grit, but their persistent embrace of the notion that necessity is the mother of invention. I remember, as a young Naval air crewman chasing the TU-95s around the North Sea just to catch a glimpse of them, and maybe gather some deeper insight into their operations. At that time we were in awe of their capabilities, but now seeing them sitting on the apron smoldering really made me realize how archaic that style of warfare has become. There's a new sheriff in town and his name is Volodymyr!
I hope you are right about the significance of this Ukrainian masterstroke, but I believe that the truth is that we don't have an actual confirmed post strike damage assessment yet.
What this could also mean is that Russia may now no-longer rely on strategic bomber assets and pivot more to its hypersonic ballistic technology as well as drones. A very close watch must be placed on Russia’s submarine fleet and bolster air base security.
Great piece. Everyone reading this should also read, as a companion piece, the latest Substack from Noah Smith (Noahpinion) about how the US is missing the boat on this military revolution by deliberately sabotaging what little drone/battery industry it has.
