If the Trump that drone works or has the potential to work that it absolutely should be purchased and limited quantities to be field tested under real life threats. We have seen lots of drones that passed the most rigorous testing fail in combat and the only way to get them into combat is to buy them and try them there.
If you had the luxury of dozens of systems that you knew worked and were combat tested and were available in quantity then no this would not be necessary I am of the opinion that the US has so fucked up this process that it should be buying everything and I don’t care who makes it. My personal view is that Ukraine should be giving this technology to the United States to Europe to any country that has donated military and financial aid to Ukraine. It’s unimaginable that the US didn’t establish a manufacturing facility in Poland with rotating experts from Ukraine, the US and the EU all working together to make the best drones and interceptors possible.
